I had not been to a dentist for over twenty years and then one of my top front teeth broke off close to the gum. I was very anxious about finding a dentist who would be considerate about my anxiety. A friend came to the rescue by suggesting I contact Abbey Dental Care. This I did. On the telephone I explained my anxiety about the dentist. The receptionist listened to me carefully and explained that my anxiety would be taken into account, and all the work would take place at a pace with which I would be comfortable. All my appointments bore this out. Mr Downes-Powell explained the work he would need to do and where options were available, these were made clear so that where possible I had a choice. I needed some work done by the hygienist and this was also carried out carefully and with patience. Whenever I felt in need of a break, this was given. I am very pleased with my crown – such care was taken to match the colour of my teeth so that it blended in well. Whilst going to the dentist will never be top of my agenda, I can now attend, knowing that the care I receive at Abbey Dental Care is the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
